What we offer

CAS is a Registered Body of the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and an ecumenical body working with Christian churches and organisations across the UK. We offer advice and information to our members on a range of safer recruitment issues to aid them with making effective recruitment decisions. We cover the following key areas:

• Advice and guidance on completing DBS application forms and PVG Scotland registration forms
• Advice and guidance to verifiers and recruiters on the DBS application process
• Advice and guidance on denominational safeguarding policies in relation to those areas concerning DBS checks
• Advice and guidance on handling blemished DBS Disclosures and risk assessment
• Advice and guidance on safeguarding and safer recruitment issues, including child protection policies and recruitment of ex-offenders
• Advice and information on networking and training opportunities
• Advice and guidance on CAS membership opportunities
