Role of CRBS Scotland
The Central Registered Body in Scotland (CRBS) is a service operated by Volunteer Development Scotland.
It was established by the Scottish Government to provide free Disclosures (police checks) for volunteers in the voluntary sector working with children, young people and adults at risk. They also process Disclosures for people working in paid roles in the voluntary sector.
CRBS are the Intermediary Body through which CAS access Disclosure Scotland. They now also process applications for membership of the PVG Scheme and requests for Scheme Records and Scheme Updates.
