Membership

CAS is a membership organisation made up of a number of participating churches and organisations. We operate two categories of membership namely Full and Associate membership.

 

Full membership

 

Full Membership of CAS is open to any church or associated church body belonging to Churches Together in Britain & Ireland (CTBI), Churches Together in England (CTE) or the Free Churches Group. Full members give us a yearly grant of at least £5000. This covers the administration cost of all their applications.  The local church/meeting (or applicant) will need to pay the DBS fee if the position is paid but applications for volunteers are free. Our full members are:

Baptist Union
United Reformed Church (URC)
Society of Friends
Congregational Federation


Informal and associate membership

We also work with a growing number of informal and associate members made up of smaller denominations and individual churches whom we support for a small donation.
